We have access to a panel of over 200 firms of solicitors who we work closely with and from whom we can obtain competitive prices whether you are re-mortgaging, buying, selling or both.
The benefit of this is that you know in advance exactly what you will be paying with no hidden 'surprises' on the day of completion. Furthermore, if you use one of our recommended firms, you can leave all the paperwork to us; just bring it in and we'll complete it for you.
We have to give feedback to each firm after completion (a little like Ebay!) so it's in their interest to give a great service.
Finally, all the firms we use, operate a no fee policy should the property purchase/sale abort.
Naturally any fees that have been paid up front to conduct local searches etc, will not be refundable, but with over one third of all property transactions falling through in the UK, this is a valuable benefit.
The Mortgage Shop normally charge a fee for mortgage advice. However, this will be dependent on your circumstances. Our typical fee is £374.
