On Sunday, Katie took on the task of running the London Marathon and completed it in a great time of 4:22:46. Katie managed to see all of those he came up to watch her, including on Tower Bridge (quote 'I felt like a celebrity') and Embankment, where she received a much needed hug from her son Scott to give her the final bit of motivation needed to complete the last 2 miles.
A donation has been made to her charity of choice, The Royal British Legion, for her amazing efforts!
We also donated to Ollie Mcconnell, who run the marathon raising money for Millimetres 2 Mountains, as his friend Tommy made the difficult decision to have his leg amputated below the knee due to ongoing problems with his left leg and foot due to being born with spina bifda.
